Maybe you’re a racer, or maybe your just into some weekend DIY. Bottom line is, you can’t easily work on a bike without some sort of work-stand. Recently RCUK took a look at the Park PRS-20. They walked away impressed with the stand, which holds the bike in place without clamping any tubes – something that can come in handy when dealing with carbon. The stand itself has a tripod-style footing, and an arm to which either the front or rear drop-outs can be secured. It has a “sleeping hub” which allows the chain to be cleaned without the rear wheel, and it can rotate 360 degrees for cleaning sessions. The reviewer, who has installed BB’s, and forks says the stand has “quickly become a favorite”. Buyers can expect to drop around ₤180 or $330, though prices may vary by country.
