Specialized Launches Site for ’07 Roubaix

Specialized has launched a new site for the ’07 Roubaix. The movie-trailer like, flash based site, offers a look at their new bike, along with some juicy details on what looks to be a pretty sweet ride. The bike will feature a new more rigid monocoque carbon frame (the Az1) that weighs in at about 2.2 lbs (1 kilo). The frame will also feature “Zertz” or visco-elastic dampers in the seat post, fork blades, and seat stays that provide vibration dampening for those longer rides. Specialized has also reworked the frame/crank area, making it over 150g lighter than a DuraAce crank, and claims it’s the stiffest crank on the market. The remaining gear and braking components are DuraAce, while the wheels are from Ksyrium (ES models) with Zircal aero spokes.
