Tifosi Optics has announced new Fototec lenses for their ’07 lineup. These polarized lenses use a variable tint technology (V.T.T.) that can quickly adjust to changing light conditions - tint changes take about 8 seconds (see their demo). The company says their system may allow riders to carry just one set of shades that will adjust as light conditions change throughout the day. The new models include the Smoke Polarized Fototec which they say performs well for all-day activities; the Open Water Green which is for fishing; and the High Speed Red which “enhances visual depth by providing a small amount of contrast”, and will be “perfect for both low light and extremely bright light conditions.” All of the models will offer 100% UVA / UVB protection, and are set to retail for about $90 USD.
