Nicolas Vogondy Moves To Agritubel

Team Agritubel announced that Nicolas Vogodny signed with the team this past Saturday. Vogondy moves over from Credit Agricole where he has been since 2005. In 2006 Vogodny had two victories including the Classic de l'Indre and a stage in the Tour Poitou-Charentes.

Allan Davis to Discovery?

The Australian is reporting that Australian cyclist Allan Davis could join Team Discovery for the 2007 season after being cleared in the Operation Puerto scandal. A move could be tricky since Davis still has two years left on his contract with Team Astana. Discovery though might find a way to make it happen after Davis’ performance last Sunday in the Noosa International Criterium, where he beat out Robbie McEwen and Jason Phillips in a sprint finish to win.

Quick Step and Jose Rujano Part Ways

Team Quick Step and rider Jose Rujano have announced that they have mutually agreed to end their contract effective immediately. Sighting “personal problems” Rujano said that he was not able to achieve the objectives he and the team had agreed upon. No information is available on what Rujano plans for the coming season. In other Quick Step news, the team announced that Cedric Vasseur was confirmed on the team’s roster for 2007.

Eurobike Coming to the US

The organizers of Eurobike announced today that they will launch a new cycling show in Portland, Oregon this September. Scheduled to take place just a week or two before Interbike, the organizers of the new show are hoping to appeal to exhibitors who are unhappy with the location and/or cost of the Las Vegas based event.

Garmin’s New Logo Design

After 15 year of GPS innovation, Garmin has decided to freshen up its image with a new logo. Gone are the old bubbly letters in favor of a cleaner typeface with a blue triangular symbol. Right now the company is only showing it off, but it should make its way into the compnay's products, as well as their new Chicago based retail store in the coming months.
