American cyclist Matt DeCanio, has reportedly said that he saw an unnamed Australian cyclist storing bottles of EPO in a refrigerator. While DeCanio makes it clear that he never witnessed the cyclist take EPO, he was confident that the cyclist had. Australian cyclist Stuart O’Grady has questioned the credibility of DeCanio saying "You've got an American guy sitting there, who's obviously got his own problems and drug problems, who has never been to the top level and that's his belief." Cycling Australia said it knew the identity of the Australian cyclist, and was investigating.
