Team CSC Launches Anti Doping Program

Team CSC this week announced the launch of one of the most comprehensive anti-doping programs in professional cycling. Joining forces with Department-Z (no relation to Dave-Z) at Bispebjerg Hospital in Denmark, CSC (starting next month) will run its team through nearly 800 tests, many of which will be done during Out-of-Competition periods. No word yet though on what sort of tests they will be running. The move comes as cycling wraps up a tough year in which there was sometime more news about doping than racing. CSC says the move is designed to protect rider health, but whether intended or not, it may also help to protect the sport from some of the scandals that overshadowed the past season.
