Team CSC says that it is looking forward to the 2007 Giro d’Italia which will begin with a team time-trial on the island of Sardinia. CSC, which had four team time-trial victories in 2006, says that they will probably be one of the “absolute favorites in the opening stage of the Giro.” After the first day, the team believes the race will be dominated by climbers as five of the stages will have mountain finishes. A point reiterated by CSC’s sports director who said “It seems to be an interesting Giro favoring the climbers who will have a lot of possibilities to win stages."
